Is BusNanny ever installed on-premise?

No. Every deployment is fully hosted by BusNanny on Microsoft Azure—either on our shared Azure environment or on dedicated Private Azure resources for your organization. You never manage servers yourself.

What is the difference between Shared and Private Azure?

Shared Azure runs on a secure multi-tenant stack with infrastructure costs (storage, backups, geo-resilience) bundled into the per-bus price. Private Azure gives you isolated compute and database in Azure, with baseline hosting plus optional upgrades for backup retention, geo-redundancy, and extra storage.

Why are backups and geo-redundancy included on Shared but optional on Private?

On Shared Azure we standardize one resilient configuration for all customers and spread infrastructure cost across the fleet. On Private Azure you control your isolation and compliance profile—we include a solid baseline, and you add only what your district requires.

What URL does Private Azure use?

Private Azure districts get a dedicated subdomain on busnanny.com—for example austinisd.busnanny.com—with TLS managed by BusNanny. Staff, drivers, and parents sign in at that URL; we register the subdomain, bind the wildcard certificate, and configure OAuth redirect URIs during onboarding.

How does BusNanny compare on price?
