About BusNanny

I built BusNanny because I was tired of standing at the bus stop with no real answers. My kids were in school, the bus was running, and I still did not know when it would actually reach our stop—or whether it was delayed, stuck in traffic, or simply running late on the other side of town.

Like a lot of parents, I checked the clock, watched the road, and hoped. When the bus did not show on time, I called the school. When it was cold or raining, I wondered whether I should send them out early or keep them inside a little longer. I wanted to know what the weather was like at the stop itself, not just at my house a few blocks away.

BusNanny started as a way to fix that gap: live bus location, estimated arrival at each stop using distance, posted speed limits, and traffic when available, plus a forecast for conditions where your child waits. Drivers get the same context on their route. Dispatch sees the fleet in one place. Parents get clarity instead of anxiety.

Today BusNanny is a full student transportation platform—scan-on/off records, parent notifications, route management, and district-ready controls—but the heart of it is still the same problem I had as a parent: every family deserves to know when the bus is coming and that their child is accounted for.
